Sr. Systems Engineer

Join ICES on a contract impacting national security as a Sr. Systems Engineer.  These positions are located in Chantilly, VA. All positions require an active/current TS/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph and be willing and able to pass an additional polygraph as needed.
As a Sr. Systems Engineer specific  responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide systems engineering technical expertise in a team environment
  • Provide subject matter expertise in IC communications systems
  • Perform decomposition analysis of existing CONOPS and architecture within the requirements
  • Coordinate and participate in Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs)
  • Contribute to the development of alternative courses of action
  • Some CONUS travel required/encouraged
 Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Physics, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of experience within the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD)
  • 11+ years of Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) experience, with hands-on experience in IC network communications systems based on requirements and/or CONOPS
  • Courses of Action (CoA) development and analysis including cost and schedule estimation
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent customer teaming skills with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills, technical and organizational problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • OPIR Subject Matter Expert (SME) with understanding of tasking, search & discovery, exploitation, delivery, and use of products
  • Familiarity with current and future corporate applications, tools, and systems within ground architectures
  • Knowledge of NSG Segments comprising the end-to-end Tasking, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TPED) process, applicable to OPIR.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of NSG/ASG Enterprise organizations, architectures, systems, programs, acquisition, baseline control, change management processes
Desirable Qualifications: 
  • MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, or related scientific or technical discipline
  • IT credentials and certifications (e.g., DAWIA, PMP, INCOSE, ITIL, CISSP and SAFe Agile)
  • Working knowledge of NSG change management processes (e.g., RFC process)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multi-disciplinary project teams
