Join ICES on a new contract impacting national security as a Sr. Systems Engineer These positions are located in Chantilly, VA. All positions require an active/current TS/SCI security clearance and be willing and able to pass an additional polygraph as needed.
 
As a Sr. Systems Engineer, specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Duties:
  • Support deployment of upgrades and new features of SAM Tools. Create application documentation, architecture diagrams, how-to guides, SOPs, and other deliverables for both training and tool maintenance.  Provide training to government via briefing and informal training session.
  • Guide and assist the Government in directing requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies.
  • Guide and assist with the planning, analysis/traceability of user requirements, architectures traceability, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review cloud service capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. 
  • Advise the Government on proposed changes to the solutions designs based on analysis of requirements and new technology. 
  • Guide and assist the Government in the capture and translation of mission and customer requirements/needs into systems/capability requirements and solutions.
  • Support the analyses and allocation of requirements to systems architecture components and executing programs.
  • Guide and assist the Government in performing systems integration activities.
  • Guide and assist in leading AoAs, CoAs, Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
  • Guide and assist the Government in strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management and interface design.
  • Conduct requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability and analysis across the NSG and Federal Agencies.
  • Provide advice to the Government in the areas of relating vision, strategy, plans, needs, requirements, and process and capability developments.
  • Operate at the level of integrating multiple Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational, agency, department, and governmental/national boundaries.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of  Mid- and Junior-level contractor Systems Engineers.
  • Provide data management support for the “software catalog” on SAM tools to include Software Requirements Workflow (SRW), eSAM (Fexera suite of tools), and Service+. 
  • Provide Tier 2 (Administrative Privilege) support on SAM tools (i.e. Software Requirements Workflow (SRW)). Direct how system support (Tier 2) will be administered/implemented to include the following but not limited to: receipt, monitoring, documenting, functionality, resolution, escalation, design change implementation and enhancement/flaw recommendation. Conduct all necessary actions to ensure SAM tools operate as designed and are maintained IAW all NGA Guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Systems Engineering or in related technical or scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree.
  • Demonstrated experience with MBSE, processes, tools and languages.
  • Possess a Software Development Framework certification.
  • Membership or leadership participation in any of the following professional organizations:
    • ACSM
    • ASCE
    • ASPRS
    • OGC
    • SAREM
    • USGIF
  • Demonstrated senior-level experience in the field of geospatial intelligence with a subset in the required associated related software tools (i.e. ELTs, mensuration, MSPs, etc.).
  • Demonstrated senior-level experience engineering solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data, AAA technologies, and Cloud Based technologies, to include one or more of the following: Service Orientated Architecture (SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured Service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  • Demonstrated experience in photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG enterprise.
Desired Qualifications:
