Join ICES on a contract impacting national security as a Jr. Systems Engineer.  These positions are located in Chantilly, VA. All positions require an active/current TS/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph and be willing and able to pass an additional polygraph as needed.
As a Jr. Systems Engineer specific  responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assess current and future technology, and ensures the Project captures innovative security solutions, tradecraft, lessons learned, and best practices
  • Perform cyber security technical planning to drive a roadmap that ensures requisite capabilities and services are available to meet mission and GEOINT community user needs
  • Supports the identification, tracking, mitigation, and resolution security technical risks and issues to ensure the timely, functionally efficient, and cost effective stand-up of new capabilities
  • Work closely with product owners to manage the features backlog and adjust development focus as required to meet mission objectives
  • Provide recommendations on alternative security solutions and strategies to mitigate security risks and meet task objectives
  • Assist the customer in tracking and prioritizing development discrepancies and assess proposed work-off plans
  • Prepare and present status briefings to program and customer leadership
 Required Qualifications:
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of security engineering, systems engineering and integration, or systems development experience
  • Experience with security engineering, security assessments, and systems certification and accreditations
  • Demonstrated understanding of IC and DoD security policies
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective customer relationships with senior level government personnel; ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communications, technical/non-technical presentation skills
Desirable Qualifications: 
  • Experience with agile planning and execution
  • Experience with GIS systems/software engineering, or foundation GEOINT
  • Understanding of ICD 503 Risk Management Framework relative to enterprise-level systems certification and accreditation.
  • Experience with any of the various Foundation GEOINT domains, e.g., maritime, aeronautical, topographic, GeoNames and Boundaries, etc
  • Technical experience supporting NSG systems and architectures
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering GEOINT exploitation services and capabilities
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of intel exploitation mission planning and execution
Demonstrated experience in cloud technology with emphasis on distributed performance
